The author, Randy Turner, is an eighth grade English teacher at South Middle School in Joplin, Missouri.
Before going into the teaching profession, he earned more than 100 journalism awards, including over 30 for investigative
reporting during a 22-year journalism career in southwest Missouri. His blog, The Turner Report, at www.rturner229.blogspot.com,
