Noah Bradley Moss, the son of Mrs. Gala Moss, sixth grade block teacher, was born Sept. 20 at St. John's. He weighed eight pounds, nine ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.
South Spotlight reporter Christen Cool will have an interview with Mrs. Moss in an upcoming post.
South Middle School students are getting a break, thanks to Friday's Teacher Work Day for the Joplin R-8 School District.
On Friday, all district teachers attended departmental meetings at Joplin High School during the morning, then returned to their buildings for afternoon meetings.
The South meetings included a review of MAP scores and a session on working with Morenet.
School will be back in session Monday.
