The Diamond Middle School Library was started as a vision of the middle school student council two years ago. Through
donations, students began the basis of the collection. During the beginning of the 02-03 school year, with the wonderful
help of some generous parents and students, the librarian cataloged over 3,000 items and placed them on the shelves for student
use. Areas where more information was needed was identified and new books were purchased to fill some of these gaps.
Teachers and students suggested several items that were also purchased. A solid foundation has been established.
Diamond students, parents, teachers and friends should pat themselves on the back for a job well done. A plaque hangs
in the library to honor the student council and their efforts.
